Overview
업계가 지닌 낡은 이미지와 가격 경쟁 중심의 구조 속에서, 신뢰와 친밀함을 동시에 담을 수 있는 차별화된 브랜드가 필요했습니다. 우리는 ‘문서를 다루지만 결국 바라보는 건 사람’이라는 철학을 중심에 두고, 브랜드의 핵심 가치인 Humanity, Clarity, Integrity를 도출했습니다. 이를 통해 법무사 사무소를 단순한 서류 대행 기관이 아니라, 삶의 전환점에서 동행하는 파트너로 자리매김할 수 있도록 방향을 설정했습니다. 명료한 언어와 정제된 시각 표현, 그리고 차분하게 정돈된 미학은 브랜드 전반에 적용되어, ‘전문성과 사람다움’을 함께 전하는 브랜드 정체성을 완성합니다.
Amid an industry weighed down by outdated perceptions and price-driven competition, there was a need for a brand that could embody both trust and familiarity. Placing at its core the philosophy that, though we handle documents, what we ultimately see are people, we distilled the brand’s core values into Humanity, Clarity, and Integrity. This framework positions the legal service not as a mere document processor, but as a partner who stands alongside clients at life’s turning points. Through refined language, a considered visual system, and a calm, orderly aesthetic, the brand identity conveys both professionalism and human warmth.
Naming
우리는 Judicial Scrivener Office(법무사 사무소)와 같은 기술적인 표현 대신, Legal Services(법률 서비스)라는 용어를 선택했습니다. 그 이유는 이 명칭이 더 명확하고, 이해하기 쉬우며, 국제적으로도 직관적이기 때문입니다. 영어권에서는 Judicial Scrivener라는 용어 자체가 생소하거나 혼동을 일으킬 수 있으며, 애초에 법무사라는 개념이 일본이나 한국 등 일부 국가의 제도에만 존재하는 개념이기 때문에 오히려 설명이 필요한 순간, 브랜드명 본연의 직관성과 전달력이 약화될 수 있습니다. 반면, Legal Services는 보다 범용적이고 직관적인 표현으로, 우리가 제공하는 부동산 등기, 법인 설립, 상속, 개명 등 행정적 법률 지원 업무의 성격을 잘 반영합니다. 또한, 공식 국문 명칭인 홍진주 법무사 사무소가 이미 정확한 직함을 제시하고 있으므로, 영문 명칭에서는 이를 직역하기보다는 신뢰성과 간결함, 글로벌 가독성을 함께 고려한 표현이 더 적절하다고 판단했습니다.
We chose the term Legal Services over technical alternatives like Judicial Scrivener Office for its clarity, accessibility, and international readability. In most English-speaking contexts, Judicial Scrivener is unfamiliar and often confusing, as it refers to a profession specific to legal systems like Japan or Korea. It requires explanation—something a brand name shouldn't need. In contrast, Legal Services is broader, more intuitive, and still accurately reflects the kind of administrative legal support we offer—from real estate registration to company filings, inheritance, and identity changes. Since our official Korean name already specifies the professional title, the English name focuses on balance: simple, trustworthy, and globally comprehensible.
Director’s Note
불필요한 수사보다 더 중요한 것은, 어떻게 말하고, 어떻게 표현하고, 어떻게 태도를 유지하는가입니다. 이번 프로젝트는 젊고 유능한 법무사가 어떤 방식으로 자신의 전문성과 신뢰를 전달할 수 있을지를 고민하는 과정이었습니다. 과하지 않되 단단해야 했고, 신뢰를 전제로 하되 거리감을 만들지 않아야 했습니다. 약 3개월간의 고민 끝에 정리된 이 균형이 앞으로의 실무 속에서도 흔들림 없이 유지되기를, 그리고 홍 법무사가 앞으로 나아갈 긴 여정의 든든한 기반이 되기를 진심으로 응원합니다.
What matters more than elaborate wording is how we speak, how we express, and how we carry ourselves. This project was about helping a young and capable legal professional define how to convey her expertise and trustworthiness. The result needed to be firm without being excessive—built on credibility without creating distance. After nearly three months of careful refinement, I hope this balance holds steady in her practice, and becomes a lasting foundation as she moves forward in her professional journey.
